Serenata, also known as “Adventures with the Art Song,” is a half-hour program hosted by WOSU’s Christopher Purdy. If you despair of choosing among the 500-plus recordings of Schubert lieder, or you want to hear Renee Fleming’s new jazz/classical album, this is the program for you.

Now in its 23rd year on WOSU TV, this ever-popular quiz program hosted by Bill Schiffman attracts enthusiastic participation from high schools throughout central and southern Ohio. Columbus Symphony Orchestra

WOSU 89.7 presents a live broadcast of the Columbus Symphony Orchestra from the Ohio Theatre in downtown Columbus.
Saturday, April 14 at 8 pm. Guest conductor William Eddins. Percussionist Colin Currie makes his CSO performance debut in Jennifer Higdon’s Percussion Concerto. The CSO also presents Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 4. Christopher Purdy hosts this live broadcast. more...
