"The best in local music making"

Christopher Purdy presents concerts performed in our listening area, and occasionally outside of it. Opera Columbus, Chamber Music in Columbus, the Jefferson Academy of Music, the School of Music at The Ohio State University, the Columbus Bach Ensemble, the Mansfield Symphony and the Brass Band of Columbus are some of the organizations featured. Offerings have ranged form 10th century chant to Stravinsky's “Rite of Spring” and Puccini's “Madama Butterfly.”


CSO

The entire season of the Columbus Symphony Orchestra Classical Series concerts is recorded at the Ohio Theatre for broadcasts beginning in March, for twenty weeks per season. Join us this year as we welcome CSO’s new music director, Junichi Hirokami. This program airs on WOSU 89.7 FM Classically Columbus Sundays at 4 pm. more...
