Kresge Challenge Grant

Make a generous gift to WOSU to help us meet a $500,000 Challenge Grant from The Kresge Foundation. Your gift will contribute to our raising the dollars necessary to claim this important grant. Thank you for your support of WOSU Public Media.

Public broadcasting’s alternative to advertising is underwriting: organizations and corporations provide funds to underwrite WOSU Public Media’s quality programming. These contributions are important sources of financial support for WOSU.

On-air underwriting announcements on WOSU Public Media recognizes your company’s support of public broadcasting while giving you an opportunity to share your company’s message with our highly desirable audiences. Your organization can underwrite a particular National Public Radio (NPR) or Public Broadcasting System (PBS) program, or your company can provide general support for any of the quality programming on WOSU 820 AM, WOSU 89.7 FM, and WOSU TV.

Many different types of businesses underwrite on WOSU; large and small, financial institutions to art organizations, for-profits and nonprofits. They support WOSU’s quality programming through radio, television, pledge drive challenge grants, business memberships, corporate philanthropy, or a combination of these options.

A WOSU development officer can assist you in creating an underwriting message that maximizes your on-air exposure. WOSU can offer your business a variety of underwriting packages. Set up an appointment today to review your marketing plan and the benefits of underwriting on WOSU Public Media.
